morrissey & rednecks
morrissey refused to perform on the same tv show http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/morrissey-cancels-jimmy-kimmel-live-appearance-over-duck-dynasty-guests-kimmel-calls-statement-dumb-2013282 that the clan from ‘duck dynasty’ was on. but he would wax poetically about his cousin rob keane – the pro footballer (soccer) - a sport (I admittedly love) but which is currently dogged with serious issues re: racism; fixing and homophobia… what a poof – hey morrissey – why not engage and learn something about why they choose to live their lives the way they do. wait – ‘you already know?’ how patently arrogant and self righteous. wait – ‘please, please, please – let me get what i want…’
it’s without a doubt – a gorgeous song. one of those 80′s ballad mad make out and grind to songs…
while I find the hunting and wildlife endeavours a bit beyond my tastes – they eat everything they kill.
and while yes – ‘meat is murder’ – the track at 20:04 filled the dance halls back in the day – and there weren’t many nights that this song didn’t get played in umpteen different remixes…
so maybe everything (well ‘cept maybe the beavers – but let’s leave it alone for now…). and they in turn might learn a little something about your concerns and plights. mutually benefittin’… ‘happy, happy, happy – actually sounds like something morrissey might actually have crooned – when he had johnny mars and crew… now I like me some smith tunes – i came of age so to speak in the 80’s and well – in the culture and social group i circulated in – the smiths were a strong constant. and i’ve layed a few out here for you -
and i really like me some ‘duck dynasty’ – i think they’ve got some truly unique and faithful and well-grounded perspectives on life.
now mr. morrissey – if they can listen to all this – get off your soapbox and have a conversation – maybe even a meal…
and they’ve made it from the ground up – much like you mr. morrissey. so maybe next time – rather than turn a cold shoulder – engage and move forward – even if on separate paths…
go get ya’ some… F_U_N… once in a while…

I LOVE Duck Dynasty.
I never got into Duck Dynasty. I just lumped them in with Larry the Cable Guy and Honey Boo Boo in the fad of being stupid and slow and redneck on purpose.
@godfatherofgreenbay - I think you’d be amused – and I think surprised in the best possible way. I find them sincere and introspective….
@aSeriesofFortunateEvents - my daughter was horrified that I watched that show… I catch her watching it as a guilty pleasure now… Laughing herself silly…
I’ve never heard very nice things about Morrissey. He’s on my do not like list, but I don’t even know who he is! Oh, he sang that one song… okay I like that song. I’ve never heard of Duck Dynasty. They seem like fun people. I wouldn’t be able to watch it though because of their accents.
He’s just kind of weird. As is that Duck Dynasty show. I wouldn’t watch that if you paid me.
